Lamar Jackson Dismisses Trade Rumors and Commits to Ravens

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has dismissed rumors that he has requested a trade from the team. Speaking to reporters on Monday, Jackson stated that he is committed to the Ravens and has no intention of leaving.

"I'm here to win. I'm not focused on any of that trade talk. I love Baltimore. I love the whole organization. I love everybody in the building. I'm committed to the team. I'm here. I'm a Raven. I'm not going anywhere," Jackson said.

The rumors began circulating on social media after the Ravens lost their season opener to the Las Vegas Raiders. Jackson had a poor performance in the game, throwing for 235 yards and one touchdown while also throwing two interceptions.

Despite the loss, Jackson remained confident in his abilities and the team's chances going forward.

"We lost one game. We've got 16 more to go. We've got a lot of football left to play. I know what I'm capable of. I know what this team is capable of. We just need to keep working hard and getting better," Jackson said.

Jackson, the 2019 NFL MVP, has led the Ravens to the playoffs in each of the last two seasons. He is considered one of the best quarterbacks in the league and is widely expected to continue his success in the coming years.

The Ravens are set to take on the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 2 of the NFL season, in what is expected to be a highly anticipated matchup between two of the top teams in the league.

Jackson is well aware of the challenge that the Chiefs pose, but he's confident in the team's ability to bounce back from their opening loss and come out on top.

"We know what we're up against. We know they're a great team. But we're a great team too. We just need to stay focused, execute our game plan, and play our best football. I have no doubt that we can come out of this with a win," Jackson said.

The Ravens will look to improve their record to 1-1 when they face off against the Chiefs on Sunday night. Despite the early-season setback, Jackson and the Ravens remain determined to achieve their ultimate goal of winning a Super Bowl championship.
